KTU Museum joins the “Lithuanian Museums’ Road” 2019 with its virtual exhibition “We grew up by Nemunas…” Nemunas is an integral part of Kaunas city and the life of its citizens. During the inter-war period and after the war Kaunas was suffering from floods in spring. The power of water was conquered by Kaunas Hydroelectric Power Plant built by people with participation of the students and lecturers of Kaunas Polytechnic Institute. KTU Museum invites you to look through the historical photographs capturing the images of Kaunas and Nemunas during the First World War, during the inter-war period and after the war, as well as the construction of Kaunas Hydroelectric Power Plant. The exhibition displays the photographs from the funds of the Library and Museum of Kaunas University of Technology.
