With the help of famous Lithuanian scientist Kazimieras Ragulskis foundation for the science of vibrotechnics was formed – Laboratory of Vibrotechnics was established in 1963; it became the world known Vibromechanics and Vibrotechnics Science Centre, considered an equivalent of USA Silicon Valley in the former Soviet Union.
